Lipton is the world’s largest tea brand, available in more than 110 countries. With an inspiring heritage, Lipton has grown over the years into a well-loved and purposeful name.
When Sir Thomas Lipton bought his first Ceylon plantation (now Sri Lanka) back in the 1890s, tea was expensive. But he found ways to make production and distribution more efficient – so people from all backgrounds could enjoy a delicious cuppa. He was the first to sell loose tea directly to the masses – and even to sell tea bags.
Today, Lipton offers an array of tea and infusion-based drinks. Their wide product range includes healthy green and black teas, loose leaf tea and tea bags, zero-calorie infusions, organic blends, beautiful tea gift packs, and even Lipton Ice Tea soft drinks.
Lipton is here to bring people together, turning each cuppa into a chance to connect. That’s a potential 100 billion moments each year.
Lipton’s committed to improving the wellbeing of tea drinkers and the people who produce tea, while also looking after the planet. In 2007, Lipton was the first major tea brand to use sustainably sourced tea on a major scale with the certification of its plantation in Kenya by Rainforest Alliance. Since 2015, the majority of their tea bag teas have been Rainforest Alliance Certified™. Lipton is now working towards making all their tea bags fully plant-based and biodegradable, and removing all plastic content from their packaging.
